His Highness Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan is currently Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development. His Highness received his education at the British Midfield School and at Magdalen College at the University of Oxford, UK. His Highness has served previously as Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as Chancellor of UAE University, of the Higher Colleges of Technology, and of Zayed University. He served as Chairman of several governmental committees on higher education, on planning, and on scientific research. His Highness is considered a pillar of both higher learning and culture in the UAE and the wider region and the University Leadership Council and the BUNYAN Initiative for the Capacity-Building of the Youth are uniquely proud to be operating under His Highness’s Chairmanship.
